This month has been a month of vitality and freedom. So many students and teachers from various schools from across the country have shown us their high spirits on the occasion of Independence Day of India. Themed on freedom, this issue talks about the idea of freedom from different points of view. The Students’ Speak section was themed as a photography corner this month, based on the theme of ‘true independence’. Various students have submitted beautiful pieces of photographs to get featured in this section. It is heart-warming to see students, teachers, leaders and schools coming together celebrate true independence through events, webinars, photographs and so on! May the spirit of freedom stay high!
While the anxiety of the lock-down and the pandemic has been peaking this month, all of us took a break for peace as the International Day of Yoga arrived. Schools too, took a break from the ever-lasting pressure of curriculum, syllabus, classes and exams – and took a deep breath to relax. Entries for this month, thus, were full of stories of how creatively and remotely students, teachers and parents observed this day – practicing yoga. Besides, we see a lot of initiatives around emotional and psychological well-being, schools have also increased the potion of creativity in learning by adding some very stimulating webinars and competitions in their schedules. Overall, it has been a month of introspection and anticipation. Hoping for better day, let’s keep striving for brilliance!
Taking their journeys from struggle to coping up, schools this month have shown practices of success and great work! Not only have they converted the entire conventional teaching-learning mechanism to virtual classrooms, they have aced at it too! It gives us immense pleasure to bring to you, through this issue of JuaNext, some stories of great transformational work being done by schools through Microsoft tools. One might think it is a challenge to only bring mainstream education to an online platform, but it doesn’t surprise us how so many schools have not only done that but also are now conducting activities such as music, art, dance etc. through online classes. Some schools have also been extending support to their students by addressing issues such as emotional wellbeing – which becomes a major issue in times of lockdown like these.
This issue thus will celebrate how the schools have risen top challenge in these tough times and have taken to task that education should not pause. On the other hand, the issue also brings to you submissions from students talking about technology, observing International Technology Day and paying their tribute to the entire medical fraternity (especially nurses) for fighting this battle against the pandemic, for us.
This month has brought out the best of creativity in all schools and educators! Stuck in a lockdown situation, when some would expect education to take a break, educators from across schools of the country have come together to keep it going! Microsoft Teams, in this time has been the saviour of education, everywhere. Shifting from classroom to virtual classroom has definitely been a roller coaster of a transition, but we are proud to say how these schools have mastered this skill so fast. In this season of adaptation, students have also been an equally significant group of contributors! Keeping the zeal to learn alive and keeping the creativity brewing – students too have amazed us! This issue brings to you all this and more, so sit back and enjoy!
This month has been a real rollercoaster ride with the country fighting a pandemic and institutions like colleges, schools and offices closing down. Working from home is one thing but creating a classroom at home is a task! We are thankful we live in a time of technology where platforms like Microsoft Teams have come to rescue education during this time of lockdown. This month saw struggle and shine of schools creating the most creative solutions to enable a remote teaching-learning experience! Various schools have come together to help each other get their way on Microsoft tools to cope and it has been a pleasure for Team Juana Tech, facilitating the process.
We congratulate all the schools who have showed brilliance through technology! This issue reflects various such efforts and achievements. Besides, the section, Students Speak, is yet again filled with a palette of creativity and intelligence. Students have spoken on how technology can be used to fight this pandemic, COVID-19. Congratulations to all the students! With this, we bring to you JuaNext March 2020! Dive In!
While the world is battling a pandemic, February has been all about staying close from a distance. While schools shut regular operations, students and teachers took out their favorite tool, Microsoft Teams to go online! This has been the main feature this month, as JuaNext 2020, arrives late due to various natural disruptions. We hereby congratulate, Ms. Prabhjot Gill and the entire team of STS World School for being the most pro-active on Microsoft Teams, reaching out to as many students as possible, not letting education fade when in this time of crisis. Besides, several schools showcased examples of excellence otherwise in their premises and at public events like Young Innovators Summit.
Stay indoors, stay online!
